T&G Services Terms and Conditions for House Clearance and Removal Services
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the house clearance services provided by T&G Services (“we,” “us,” “our”) to the customer (“you,” “your”). By booking our services, you agree to comply with the terms outlined below.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1. A booking is confirmed once we have confirmed to you that we are willing and able to do the work and have agreed a price.
2.2. Full payment is required upon completion of the clearance unless otherwise agreed in writing. In certain circumstance we may require a deposit.
2.3. Any additional charges incurred during the clearance (e.g., extra items, unforeseen labour, additional disposal fees) must be paid upon completion.
3. Scope of Work
3.1. The clearance service includes the removal of items as agreed upon during the booking process.
3.2. Hazardous materials, including but not limited to asbestos, chemicals, and medical waste, will not be removed.
3.3. Items requiring special disposal (e.g., fridges, mattresses, electrical goods) may incur additional charges.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
4.1. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled clearance may be subject to a cancellation fee.
4.2. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., extreme weather, staff illness).
5. Access and Permissions
5.1. You must ensure that we have full and safe access to the property at the agreed time.
5.2. If access is delayed or denied, we reserve the right to charge for waiting time or reschedule at our discretion.
5.3. It is your responsibility to ensure that all necessary permissions (e.g., from landlords, property owners) are in place before the clearance.
6. Liability
6.1. We are not responsible for any items left behind on your request or which we have not agreed to take, or which are considered by us to be hazardous waste.
6.2. Any claim must be reported within 48 hours of the clearance and our liability will be limited to the price paid by you for the work.
7. Disposal and Recycling
7.1. We aim to dispose of items in an environmentally responsible manner, recycling and donating where possible.
7.2. Items deemed unsellable or non-recyclable will be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
8. Customer Obligations
8.1. You must inform us of any valuable or sentimental items that should not be removed.
8.2 You must ensure that all utilities (e.g., electricity, water) necessary for the clearance are available.
9. Complaints and Disputes
9.1. If you have any complaints, they must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of the clearance.
9.2. We will aim to resolve disputes amicably.
10. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
